THE powerful and efficient machines comprised by Classes 5, 8 and 9 are especially designed for the strong stitching, in long lengths, of several plies of rubber, canvas, or leather, and are extensively employed for the manufacture of Belting used for power transmission; they can be used for sewing any kind of fabric, capable of needle puncture, of a thickness not exceeding three-quarters of an inch.
