  • The tragic tale of Hermann Loog, a German entrepreneur who rose to prominence as Frister & Rossmann's UK agent, famously defeated Singer in the courts, and ultimately spiraled through business failures to his suicide in 1904.
  • Transverse Shuttle Manual
  • Frister & Rossman's High Arm, transverse shuttle sewing machine, Instructions for the use of (16pp) c. 1892. F&R had several U.K. sole agents over the years; this is from the period under S. Loewe of 49 Fore Street, London (1890s). The cover is damaged but otherwise readable. Many German T.S. machines of this period had very similar workings; the contents of this manual will apply to most of them.
